"In 2007 we consulted Kairos Commodities in regards to a re-negotiation of a contract for components with a high content of copper and aluminium. Traditionally the contract had been entered with a binding price and a certain volume for one year. But based on counseling from Kairos and their analyses on historical and forecasted development of the copper and aluminium prices we entered a new contract with fixed prices every 3 months and with an option to fix the price with a certain volume for up to twelve months. After 12 months we have calculated the difference in costs between the chosen solution and the old way of locking prices for one year. We have saved more than half a million Euros by having flexible prices every quarter.
